What This Season Has Shown Me

I’ve been unwell lately, and over the last ten days I’ve had to say no to three clients because I simply haven’t been well enough to hold the kind of space they would need from me.
That hasn’t been easy, but it has been honest.
This season has shown me something more clearly about myself and about the way I work.
Everything I do begins in the body. It begins as felt sense, image, atmosphere, and emotional truth. Often the image comes before the words. Often the knowing arrives before the explanation. Whether I’m doing healing work, writing, creating something funny, or making music, the thread is the same: something is felt before it is fully named.
That is part of why my work can help people deeply. I don’t only listen to words. I listen beneath them, for the pattern, the charge, and the deeper truth. And it is also why I can’t always give the neat, immediate explanation some people want. Some things are known before they can be fully translated.
At the same time, something else has been opening. Alongside the healing reflections and inner work, comedy has entered through BOB, and music has arrived too. What I’m seeing now is that these aren’t separate things at all. They’re all expressions of the same source.
So this season has carried a few lessons.
It has reminded me that my work is about more than information. It is about presence, emotional truth, and what is real beneath the surface.
It has reminded me that the way I create is also the way I help others heal.
And it has reminded me that I cannot teach return to self while abandoning myself.
If things seem to be widening a little here lately, that’s why. The deeper work is still here. The healing is still here. But so too are the songs, the humour, the more personal heart, and the forms that truth is choosing now.
This is not a departure from what matters.
It is a fuller expression of it.
