When the Beliefs That Built Your Life Begin to Move

Season #4

What happens when you begin questioning not simply what you believe, but the beliefs that have quietly helped organise your entire life? In this episode of Journeys Beyond with Shamarie, I share something I am currently living through: a deep re-evaluation of beliefs around spirituality, purpose, responsibility, identity, safety and how life itself works. Some beliefs are consciously chosen. Others are inherited through family, religion and culture, or absorbed so deeply that we stop recognising them as beliefs at all. They become structural β€” part of the architecture from which we understand ourselves and the world. And when one of those beliefs begins to move, much more can move with it. I explore why inconsistencies within our beliefs can be so difficult to recognise, why we may assume we have failed to understand rather than questioning the framework itself, and why changing a structural belief can feel genuinely painful and disorientating. I also share a very personal realisation about my lifelong search for answers: beneath genuine curiosity may also have been a hope that if I could understand the rules of life, I could make life more predictable β€” and therefore safer. Perhaps knowledge was being asked to provide something it could never actually guarantee. This episode isn't about replacing one belief system with another. I don't have a shiny new collection of answers to offer. Instead, I'm exploring the possibility that we can ask: What have I built around what I believe? What does this belief ask me to pursue, tolerate or take responsibility for? Who does it tell me I am? And what happens if I discover that it no longer satisfies me? Sometimes the most truthful answer may simply be: I don't know. Perhaps UNKNOWN isn't a failure to find the answer. Perhaps sometimes it's room. Room to question. Room to choose. Room to change. Room to find our own way. πŸŽ™οΈ Journeys Beyond with Shamarie Shamarie Flavel | Field Explorer & Mystic Interpreter of Living Patterns
